Aloft Houston Downtown is seeking a part-time bartender to deliver friendly, energetic beverage service in the hotel’s bar and restaurant. The role emphasizes guest satisfaction, bar organization, and accurate service with knowledge of products and procedures.

Responsibilities include greeting guests, bar setup, stocking, mixing drinks, POS usage, cash handling, and maintaining cleanliness. Flexibility for shifts, strong teamwork, and adherence to food safety are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospitality or service preferred.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Flexible schedule including days, nights, holidays, and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and describe food and beverage options clearly.
• Maintain setup of the bar area and keep it organized.
• Stock beverages, garnishes, and supplies; manage perishables.
• Mix, garnish, and present drinks per recipes with portion control.
• Attend monthly departmental meetings and participate in training.
• Input orders into the POS system and process payments accurately.
• Handle cash and balance transactions; manage cash drops.
• Lock up and store beverages and equipment; secure cash as needed.
• Sanitize bar area and complete daily side work as required.
• Know current menu offerings and promote drinks accordingly.
• Ensure food safety and proper handling procedures.
• Maintain cleanliness of the restaurant and surrounding areas.
• Demonstrate knowledge of hotel hours and amenities.
• Collaborate effectively with service and kitchen teams.
