Job summary

Aloft Savannah Downtown is hiring for a bar position to prepare beverages, take guest orders with upselling, and maintain bar station cleanliness. You will manage stock and assist with closing duties in a fast-paced hotel environment.

Requirements include 21+ years old, 1 year of bar experience, and TIPS/food safety certification. Flexible shifts and strong teamwork are important for delivering excellent guest service.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalence required.
• Minimum 1 year experience as a barback or bartender in a hotel or restaurant.
• Must be at least 21 years of age. Flexible shifts based on business needs.
• Must be TIPS and Food Safety certified as required.
• Must understand beverage service standards and compliance with liquor regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for bars and restaurants, per service standards.
• Take Guests' orders and use suggestive selling techniques.
• Record orders into the POS and process payments following procedures.
• Set up bar with garnishes, stock, and equipment; maintain cleanliness of station.
• Requisition supplies and transport from storeroom to bar; open wine/champagne when requested.
• Guide bar back and ensure optimal service to guests; report tips as required.
