Job summary

White Lodging Services, Inc. is seeking a restaurant server responsible for delivering food and beverages to guests with emphasis on timely, courteous service. The role includes I.D. checks and monitoring beverage service to prevent overservice.

The server will perform setup, maintain cleanliness, learn menu details, and engage guests to enhance the dining experience while adhering to brand guidelines and cash-handling policies.

Qualifications

• Previous restaurant or bar experience preferred but not essential.
• Previous customer service role preferred not essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality service to all guests.
• Know and follow White Lodging brand standards.
• Complete setup, side work and closing duties as assigned.
• Maintain cleanliness before, during and after shift.
• Know menu items, garnishes, contents and preparation methods; answer guest questions.
• Be aware of daily features and specials.
• Use suggestive selling to increase check average.
• Take guest orders accurately and enter into Micros.
• Check food presentation before serving.
• Ensure guest satisfaction within two bites.
• Present checks accurately and timely.
• Follow WL cash handling policies and end-of-shift procedures.
• Follow WL work procedures and attendance policies.
• Engage in pre-shift briefings and learn hotel information.
• Promote teamwork and a safe work environment.
• Perform any other reasonable duties.
• Adhere to WL uniform standards.
• Know and explain bar products to guests.
• Create conversation and personal connection with guests.
