Job summary

Hampton Inn Daytona Shores - Oceanfront is seeking a dedicated Maintenance/Engineer to support the hotel’s standards for guest satisfaction and safety. You will respond to repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure clean, well‑maintained spaces across the property.

Ideal candidates bring a technical background, a positive attitude, and the ability to follow guidelines in a fast-paced hotel environment. A varied schedule, including evenings and weekends, may be required.

Qualifications

• Technical, Trade or Vocational school degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of work-related experience in a commercial facility, hospitality or related field preferred.
• Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Must be able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures.
• Must work well in stressful, high‑pressure situations.
• Must be effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns and issues raised by co‑workers and guests.
• Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
• Must have a desire to serve all guests.
• Must be 18 years of age or older to perform this job.
• Willing to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Arrive and clock in on time for every shift and clock out at the scheduled time.
• Clock in/out for breaks at the designated time.
• Provide sufficient notice when calling out for a scheduled shift.

Responsibilities

• Respond to guest repair requests and document completion.
• Keep preventive maintenance up to date according to PM program.
• Follow safety guidelines and report emergencies to supervisor.
• Conduct full property walks at shift start and end and document needs.
• Maintain clean and organized maintenance areas.
