Job summary

Yoke’s Fresh Market in Spokane, WA is seeking a friendly cashier to provide excellent guest service at the checkout. You will engage guests, process transactions accurately, and promote store offerings.

The role includes stocking, bagging orders, helping customers to their vehicle, and participating in safety and training programs. We offer ESOP, DailyPay, 401(k), comprehensive benefits, and paid leave.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Language Skills: Reads and comprehends simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Writes simple correspondence. Communicates effectively and pleasantly with guests, vendors and fellow associates at all times.
• Mathematical Skills: Basic arithmetic with money and weight measurement, volume.
• Reasoning Ability: Common sense to carry out instructions and solve straightforward problems.
• Other Qualifications: Washington State Minor Work authorization if under 18.
• Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver's License or State ID.

Responsibilities

• Report for assigned shifts on time with clear communication and safe task performance.
• Promote sales through active discussions with guests and discuss promotions and services.
• Assist guests by packing purchases, delivering purchases, checking prices and answering inquiries.
• Perform routine store maintenance or cleaning as needed.
• Bag groceries and assist with carrying orders to customers' vehicles.
