Job summary

Yoke's Fresh Markets is seeking a part-time Courtesy Clerk to provide a pleasant checkout experience and professional service by actively engaging guests and promoting store offerings. You will help with bagging, carrying purchases to vehicles, and restocking supplies while following safety guidelines.

Requires reliability for shifts, basic reading and communication skills, and a willingness to learn. The role includes training opportunities and a focus on hospitality within a team-driven store

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Reads and comprehends simple instructions, short correspondence and memos. Writes simple correspondence. Communicates effectively and pleasantly with guests, vendors and fellow associates at all times.

Responsibilities

• Report for assigned shifts on time, and on a regular basis, capable of communicating clearly and demonstrating suitable physical abilities to safety perform assigned tasks and duties.
• Promoting sales through active discussions with guests, offering product recommendations, and discussing current promotions and service information.
• Bagging grocery orders and assisting guests with purchases.
• Restocking bags and other check stand supplies.
• Carrying out grocery orders to customer's vehicle using shopping cart.
• Mentoring new associates or associates who are new to the department or task.
