Job summary

Porter Hospitality in Seattle, WA is hiring a Shift Supervisor for our cafe and lounge spaces. The role blends front-of-house leadership with concierge-style service to deliver an elevated guest experience and smooth daily operations.

You will lead by example, coach teams, manage events, and collaborate with property management to support tenant relations and community programming. Nights, weekends, and outdoor service are required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of supervisory experience in hospitality, lounge, cafe, or restaurant settings.
• Food Handler’s Permit required.
• Proven leadership and guest service excellence in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the café floor and ensure smooth guest interactions and operational flow.
• Supervise front-of-house and back-of-house teams; assist with training and staff development.
• Serve as point of contact for coffee training and quality control.
• Maintain a clean, inviting, well-organized cafe space and hospitality standards.
• Support food and beverage service and inventory management.
• Monitor security and guest access; act as ambassador for lounge and building.
• Assist with opening/closing, cash handling, sanitation, and equipment upkeep.
• Address guest feedback in real time to enhance the experience.
