Estancia La Jolla Hotel & Spa is seeking a Banquet Houseperson to set up meeting rooms and event spaces according to guest specifications. You will ensure correct, timely setups for all functions and support event teams to deliver exceptional experiences.

We value a friendly, professional demeanor, strong guest service skills, and the ability to work AM/PM, weekends, and holidays in a hotel/resort environment.

Qualifications

• One year experience as Banquet Houseperson/Event Houseperson.
• Possess a basic knowledge of the banquet department operations.
• Ability to serve needs of guests through verbal face-to-face interactions.
• Must demonstrate positive attitude and professional demeanor.
• Requires communication and interpersonal skills and commitment to a high level of guest satisfaction.
• Ability to stand, walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to lift, move, pull, and push moderate amounts of weight.
• Ability to work on AM, PM, weekend, and holiday shifts as required by operational needs.
• Experience within a hotel/resort environment.

Responsibilities

• The Banquet Houseperson is responsible for completing the set-up of all meeting rooms and event areas to the specifications of the guest. Ensures the correct and timely set-up of all functions.
