Job summary

Metcalfe's Market in Madison, WI is seeking a part-time guest service associate to assist customers in-store or by phone, process transactions, and help with self-checkouts.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED and may prefer one year of retail experience. You will handle cash, credit, WIC, and coupons, stock shelves, and maintain a clean, safe environment while providing friendly service.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (required).
• One year of prior retail or related experience preferred.
• Good verbal communication skills; ability to interact politely and effectively with customers.
• Good customer service and organizational skills; detail-oriented. Reading, writing and arithmetic skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous guest service in person or by telephone; answer calls and direct to the appropriate department.
• Process transactions including credits, refunds, money orders, and various payments; assist with checkouts.
• Operate cash register and assist with self-checkouts; stock products across departments.
• Maintain knowledge of store programs and pricing; communicate promotions and coupons to customers.
• Keep the department clean, safe, and well-stocked; follow safety and sanitation procedures.
