Job summary

Helix Traffic Solutions, LLC is seeking motivated individuals for Permanent Construction Apprenticeship in the road and bridge construction field. No prior construction experience required; on-the-job training provided.

Must possess a valid Class A CDL and be willing to travel within the region to complete projects. You will work with experienced crews on guardrail installation and traffic control-related construction activities, operating commercial vehicles and equipment, with potential for

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• Ability to lift up to 80 lbs and perform heavy physical labor.
• Ability to read measurements and use rulers.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel as needed.
• Commitment to safety and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a post pounder truck per DOT regulations and company policies.
• Transport guardrail materials, posts, and equipment using a gooseneck trailer.
• Load, secure, transport, and unload materials with proper load securement.
• Perform pre-trips and post-trips, and daily vehicle/equipment inspections.
• Erect and install guardrail systems according to plans and safety standards.
• Drive guardrail posts and assist with installation and repair.
• Conduct utility locating before excavation or installation work.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment safely.
