Job summary

Caring Connection Guardianship seeks a qualified leader to oversee care and monitoring for clients appointed by courts as payee, guardian, or conservator. You will manage fiduciary duties, advocate for clients, and interface with the CFO on fiscal matters.

You will supervise CCG Case Managers, coordinate with external agencies, and ensure compliance with probate law and court requirements. Strong organizational and leadership skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to complete multiple duties and tasks correctly and on time without prompting.
• Ability to use Information Technology, including internet and social media.
• Ability to learn and use program-specific computer applications.
• Ability to work with team members and others to research, plan and implement initiatives.
• Excellent organizational and writing skills.
• Knowledge of Michigan Probate laws.

Responsibilities

• Lead team members to implement strategies relevant to program.
• Identify opportunities to expand existing services.
• Serve on agency and community committees as assigned.
• Assist with recruiting and hiring team members.
• Mentor and train team members to fulfill duties and responsibilities.
• Oversee annual trainings required for team members.
• Conduct regular meetings with team members.
• Coach, counsel, discipline and evaluate CCG team members.
• Reconcile team members’ attendance records after each pay period.
• Assist in preparation of annual operating budget for assigned area.
• Ensure monthly expenses remain within budget.
• Assist in reviewing grants/contract applications and follow-up reports.
• Participate in fundraising events as assigned.
• Attend required meetings on behalf of CC and annual care conferences.
• Follow contract and best practice guidelines as per Probate law.
• Make funeral arrangements as necessary.
• Complete all paperwork and keep records updated.
• Attend Court hearings as required with testimony.
• Monitor Medicaid re-determination and spend-downs.
• Provide consents for treatment and medications.
• Link clients/wards to services and placements in least restrictive settings.
• Advocate for clients’/wards needs as guardian and conservator.
• Understand and manage client investments and assets.
• As Conservator, manage property maintenance/sale if needed.
• Schedule on-call phone rotation.
• Other duties as assigned.
