Job summary

Harris County Resources for Children and Adults seeks an Asset Management Coordinator to research, value, and manage ward assets. You will work with Guardianship Program staff to ensure accurate inventories and compliant transactions across multiple institutions.

The role requires a Bachelor’s or Paralegal degree, strong knowledge of Texas Estates Code, and ability to coordinate with facilities, families, and providers. Full-time on-site in Houston.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Social Sciences, a closely related field or Paralegal Degree.

Responsibilities

• Research and evaluate assets using multiple resources.
• Identify and secure bank accounts, safe deposit boxes, and all assets related to banking and financial institutions.
• Ensure ongoing management and stewardship of the ward’s assets.
• Maintain inventories in the financial management system and document information for review.
• Ensure asset-related transactions comply with policies, estate code guidelines, and court orders.
• Coordinate movement and storage of all ward assets.
• Manage transaction records and documentation for ward assets.
• Provide information to financial institutions about the agency and its policies.
• Perform additional duties as assigned within scope.
