Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office is Florida’s child advocacy organization, providing independent legal representation for abused and neglected children in dependency courts. Guardians ad Litem are assigned to cases as part of a multi-disciplinary team, focusing on timely permanency and child welfare.

The role allows remote work after onboarding and involves advocating for children, reviewing case files, and appearing in court to present information and strategies to judges.

Qualifications

Licensed to practice law in Florida.
Admission to The Florida Bar required or pending admission.
Experience in guardianship/child advocacy preferred.

Responsibilities

Represent children in court and negotiate on their behalf.
Review case files, investigate facts, and develop legal strategies.
Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations as needed.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary team to achieve permanency for children.
