Job summary

The Statewide Guardian ad Litem Office is Florida’s award-winning, state-funded child advocacy organization providing independent legal representation to abused and neglected children in dependency court. Guardian ad Litem Attorneys work in a multi-disciplinary team to ensure timely permanency and best interests for each child.

This half-time Senior Attorney position offers remote flexibility after onboarding, requires Florida Bar admission, and emphasizes integrity, ethics, and child-centered

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited law school.
• Active Florida Bar membership.
• Strong knowledge of juvenile law.
• Ability to advocate effectively in court.

Responsibilities

• Represent children in court and negotiations as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
• Prepare pleadings and motions for court proceedings.
• Conduct independent case investigations and develop legal strategies.
• Attend hearings, depositions, and mediations.
• Work under supervision of the Managing Attorney and Circuit Director.
