Job summary

Moffatt & Nichol is seeking a Senior Field Engineer to lead the Guam PCAS team, coordinating clients, field engineers, and design professionals on large waterfront construction projects. The role shapes strategic direction, oversees field operations, and mentors senior staff in a dynamic, field-based environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; required
• 15+ years of experience with marine ports, U.S. Navy, Department of War, and/or marine structural or heavy civil projects; required
• Professional licensure (PE, CCM, PMP; preferred
• Industry-recognized authority in construction management practice and client management; required
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)

Responsibilities

• Serve as M&N’s primary representative in the field leading coordination between team members and client/government representatives
• Oversee administration of construction submittals and shop drawing reviews; manage RFIs and change orders
• Review construction drawings and contract documents to provide technical support in the field
• Document and report construction progress and field conditions to the technical team
• Prepare critical agreements involving scope, schedule, fees, and terms; review subconsultant agreements
• Schedule and lead critical project meetings and assist project managers
• Provide direction to the PCAS team and monitor performance and resource needs
• Forecast workload and address gaps; lead recruitment and mentorship in field team
• Maintain record of field activities and ensure compliance with standards and QA/QC
