Job summary

Moffatt & Nichol is seeking a Senior Field Engineer to lead the Guam PCAS team, directing field coordination with engineers, project management, subconsultants, and clients on large waterfront construction projects. The role focuses on technical direction, client relations, and mentorship of staff in a challenging field environment.

Qualifications include a BS in Construction Management or Civil Engineering, 15+ years in marine/heavy civil projects, and preferred licensure (PE/CCM/PMP).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field; required
• 15+ years of experience with marine ports, U.S. Navy, DoW, and/or marine structural or heavy civil projects; required
• Professional licensure (PE, CCM, PMP, or equivalent); preferred
• Industry-recognized authority in construction management practice, standards, and technical oversight; required
• Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation)
• Must have a reliable vehicle and valid driver's license for travel to client sites
• Experience with Windows 365 productivity applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Responsibilities

• Lead the PCAS team in Guam, coordinating field engineers, project managers, design engineers and subconsultants
• Oversee construction submittals, RFIs, change orders, and related admin tasks
• Review drawings and specifications to provide on-site technical support and field solutions
• Document construction progress and ensure conformance with contract documents
• Lead critical project meetings and mentor field staff
• Manage scope, schedule, and budget considerations for PCAS projects
• Ensure adherence to QA/QC processes and client requirements
• Coordinate with clients, government representatives, and contractors to resolve field issues
• Provide direction and supervision of the PCAS team and promote career development
