Job summary

Hawaii State Archives in Hawaii is seeking a skilled painter to perform interior and exterior painting on buildings and furniture using brushes, rollers, spray guns and other coatings. The role may supervise Painter Helpers and other staff as part of ongoing work assignments.

Applicants must have four years of painting-related experience, knowledge of safety practices, and a valid driver's license. Some postings may require lifting and carrying heavy objects and working from scaffolds or rigging

Qualifications

• FOUR (4) YEARS of work experience in preparing surfaces and applying coats of paint and other coatings.
• Knowledge of painting trade practices and safety procedures.
• Ability to use brushes, rollers, spray guns and related tools; work from scaffolds; lift and move objects as needed.
• Driver's license required; some positions may require lifting heavy objects.

• Execute related duties as assigned.
