Job summary

Ahtna Global, LLC (AGL) Quality Control (QC) Manager is a field position serving as the field QC Manager for federal projects. The role defines, inspects, and documents daily work to ensure compliance with minimum standards and project scope.

It provides overall management of Construction Quality Control (CQC) and authority on CQC matters. Located in Guam, this position reports to the Corporate QC Program Manager and aligns with project goals to uphold quality across all phases and inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, Building Construction, or Building Science.
• Five or more years as Project Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, Project Engineer, or Construction Manager with at least two years as QC Manager.
• Ability to obtain NAVFAC CQM Certificate within 60 days.
• Ability to communicate in English in writing and speaking.
• Proficiency in MS Office software (Outlook, Word, Excel, MS Projects).
• Understanding of construction means and methods for government, commercial, and institutional buildings.
• Working knowledge of civil, architectural, mechanical, and electrical work.
• High proficiency with spreadsheets, schedules, email, and other construction software.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Project Manager and Superintendent to apply quality requirements to each feature of work.
• Maintain submittal register and prepare preconstruction QC plans and health/safety plans.
• Coordinate with project team to ensure drawings and submittals comply with specs and changes.
• Chair and document weekly site QC meetings; provide written minutes.
• Issue daily QC reports and verify conformance; address non-conformances promptly.
• Maintain project-specific quality control reports and as-built drawings.
