Job summary

MBP (McDonough Bolyard Peck) is seeking a Project Inspector to support NAVFAC Marianas on Guam, bringing 7+ years of combined education and experience in construction quality management. The role involves inspecting general construction, civil/sitework, and the installation of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems on demanding federal projects.

You will oversee QA/QC, prepare reports, track deficient work, review submittals, and coordinate with clients, designers, contractors, MBP staff,

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 7 years of related experience and/or education.
• Associate degree with 5 years of related experience and/or education, or higher preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture, construction management, or related field with 2 years of related experience and/or education.
• Must possess OSHA 30-hour certification or obtain within 3 months of hire.
• Knowledge of codes, materials, methods, and tools used in construction and inspection.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections to verify conformance with plans, specs, submittals, and codes.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on project progress.
• Identify and track deficient work until resolved.
• Communicate quality issues with clients, designers, contractors, and MBP personnel.
• Review contractor submittals for conformance and recommend approvals or rejections.
• Participate in final inspections and prepare punch lists.
• Support constructability reviews, cost estimating, change orders, and schedule reviews.
