University of Chicago Medicine is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) for the Genitourinary Oncology program. The APP will deliver comprehensive direct patient care, manage a caseload, and work autonomously under supervision of GU Oncology faculty.

Responsibilities include diagnostics, treatment initiation, education, and coordination of care. The role requires IL licensure, MSO privileging, and DEA credentials as applicable, with ongoing

Qualifications

• Current and/or eligible for State of Illinois licensure/registration required.
• Eligibility to be privileged and credentialed through the Medical Staff Office (MSO).
• Mid-level practitioner license and DEA number as needed.

Responsabilités

• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to manage a caseload of GU oncology patients.
• Assess, diagnose, and initiate delegated medical treatments with autonomous decision making.
• Document history, exams, and management changes per guidelines in outpatient clinic.
• Coordinate diagnostic tests and follow-up, including test results and patient communications.
• Perform bone marrow biopsies and participate in patient care planning.
• Attend conferences and continuing education to stay current in hematology/oncology care.
