THE ROLE

We are seeking an experienced and proactive Recruiter to join our team as one of the first members of our talent acquisition function. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to design and execute strategies that ensure Baseten attracts and hires top talent across non-technical functions such as operations, marketing, sales, and customer success. You'll work closely with hiring managers and cross-functional leaders to deliver a world-class candidate experience and ensure every hire contributes to our vision of building the future of ML infrastructure.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a fast-growing team, we expect the responsibilities of this role to evolve over time. Here are some of the areas where you could have an immediate impact:

  • Full-cycle recruiting: Own the recruiting process from role kickoff through offer acceptance for non-technical roles such as marketing, sales, operations, and customer success.
  • Candidate experience: Ensure a seamless and positive experience for every candidate, with clear communication and timely updates throughout the process.
  • Sourcing strategies: Develop and execute sourcing strategies to build pipelines of highly qualified candidates, leveraging tools, platforms, and creative outreach.
  • Employer branding: Partner with the marketing team to create compelling content that showcases Baseten's culture and positions us as a top employer in the ML space.
  • Hiring process improvements: Identify opportunities to streamline and optimize recruiting processes for efficiency and scalability while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Data-driven recruiting: Track and analyze recruiting metrics (e.g., time-to-fill, offer acceptance rates) to inform hiring strategies and provide actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Diversity, equity, and inclusion: Build and promote inclusive hiring practices that attract and retain diverse talent across all non-technical teams.
REQUIREMENTS
  • 3+ years of experience in full-cycle recruiting, preferably in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Proven success hiring for non-technical roles such as marketing, sales, customer success, or organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple searches and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on delivering a great candidate experience.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (e.g., Ashby, Lever) and sourcing tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter).
  • Passion for building inclusive hiring processes and contributing to a strong company culture.
