Job description

Competencies

We’re looking for a GTM Operations Associate to design, build, and deploy go-to-market workflows. The best way to think about this role is product management for our go-to-market engine. You’ll work closely with commercial leadership to shape requirements, decide what gets built and in what sequence, drive the implementation, and make sure teams adopt the new ways of working and that we see a tangible impact in the business.

What we’re looking for:
  • Experience: 2-3 years in RevOps, BizOps, Sales or Marketing Ops, or Strategy & Ops, at a tech company or fast-growing startup. You’ve had hands-on ownership of workflows that other people depended on.
  • Tech fluency: Deep, hands-on comfort in a modern tech stack, automation tooling, and integrations.
  • Product thinking: You can turn a vague business ask into a scoped requirement, sequence an MVP, design for the edge cases, and say no to a request that doesn’t earn its complexity.
  • Project execution: Proven ability to run multi-stakeholder initiatives to a deadline. Highly structured, detail-oriented, and fast.
  • Analytical rigor: Comfortable in the data. You size the problem before you solve it and can defend a recommendation.
  • Influence and communication: Clear, structured, top-down communicator. You drive adoption across teams you don’t manage, and you make documentation and enablement part of shipping.
  • Independence: You take ownership and move quickly. Resourceful, self-starting, proactive.
  • Ambition & curiosity: You want to learn, grow, and build the systems that let a company scale without scaling headcount at the same rate.
Trajectory

You’ll own GTM initiatives across their full arc, from the first ambiguous ask through to the dashboard that tells you whether it worked. Here’s what that looks like:

  • Scope requirements for GTM initiatives, turning open-ended business asks into clear specs with a sequenced path to launch.
  • Design processes end to end, defining the steps, owners, handoffs, and the criteria that move work from one stage to the next.
  • Build it into our systems, configuring the stages, fields, triggers, and automation the process runs on.
  • Enable our commercial teams by creating the documentation, playbooks, and training materials.
  • Lead the rollout, training teams and staying close through the first weeks of adoption.
  • Track adoption and business impact after launch (e.g., conversion dashboards), and iterate on what doesn’t hold.

Sample project (illustrative): Building a product trial engine. You’d define what qualifies someone for a trial, how the environment gets provisioned and with what data in it, which usage signals indicate real evaluation, what triggers a rep to step in and when, how a trial converts into a deal, and what happens to the ones that go quiet. Then you’d build it, train the team on it, monitor the conversion rate weekly, and rework the parts that don’t hold.

Definition of Success
  • The workflows you design are live in our systems, used by the teams they were built for, and moving the numbers they were built to move
  • Commercial leadership hands you problems and trusts you to design and deliver a solution
  • You know Planhat’s commercial motion end to end, from how a lead gets captured to how an account expands, and you can see where it breaks
  • You are finding friction in how our go-to-market runs and fixing it before it becomes a problem
Compensation

The salary range for this position is $100,000 - $140,000 per year. Please note that actual salaries will vary based on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance.
