Job summary

OpenArt in San Carlos, CA is seeking a Software Engineer, GTM to help shape an AI-native storytelling platform. You’ll work at the intersection of product, engineering, and go-to-market, building agents and interfaces that millions can use, and evaluating new video and image models to improve capabilities.

This highly product-driven role requires strong coding skills, pragmatic trade-offs, and the ability to ship end-to-end frontend experiences in React and Next.js while collaborating with GTM

Qualifications

• 2+ years of full-stack engineering experience shipping production software.
• Hands-on experience building LLM-powered agents or applications with real users.
• Familiarity with agent harness concepts: tool use, memory management, multi-step planning, or sub-agent orchestration.
• Strong data modeling and schema design skills for real product use cases.
• A solid AI-assisted coding practice using tools like Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor.
• Product sense for trustworthy, delightful agent experiences.
• Clear communication to explain agent behavior and trade-offs to non-engineers.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and iteration of OpenArt Agent and other products.
• Build and evolve OpenArt Arena for exploring generative AI models.
• Collaborate with product, design, and GTM to turn market trends into capabilities.
• Evaluate video/image generation models for quality, capabilities, and real-world use cases.
• Rapidly prototype and ship innovative projects based on new models and tech.
• Deliver polished frontend experiences in React and Next.js end-to-end.
• Make pragmatic trade-offs between speed, correctness, and scalability and communicate them clearly.
