Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in Wilson, NC seeks a detail-oriented GTAW Welder to join our production team. You will be trained to perform high-quality precision welding on thin-gauge materials in a structured, process-driven environment.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year GTAW welding experience, a welding certification or Associate’s degree, and the ability to read technical drawings and follow WPS ranges. Training and advancement opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS diploma (or equivalent) or vocational/technical education with minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• 1+ years GTAW welding experience and/or 1+ years welding fabrication experience.
• Associate’s degree in welding or a certificate from a welding program.

Responsibilities

• Set Up and Operate Welding Equipment according to drawings and WPS ranges.
• Perform GTAW welding operations on thin-gauge materials such as 4130 steel, stainless steel, aluminum, titanium.
• Inspect welds using visual criteria and inspection tools; repair as needed.
• Follow safety, EH&S, and compliance standards; keep work area clean.
• Assist in training other welders and interpret technical documents.
