Qualifications

• Associate degree in Early Childhood or CDA required
• CPR/AED and first aid certification required
• Experience in early childhood setting preferred
• Ability to work with parents and children
• Knowledge of Early Childhood Standards of Quality for Prekindergarten
• Yearly TB test required
• Regular and reliable attendance
• Ability to work cooperatively with program staff

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning instruction and engagement of preschool with GSRP Lead Teacher
• Attend and engage in continuous professional development
• Assist with home visits, field trips and other activities
• Co-implement Teaching Strategies curriculum with lead teacher
• Work with small groups under teacher direction
• Supervise children during activities and during transitions
• Support a nurturing, safe classroom atmosphere
• Assist with arrival, dismissal, and meal service
