Qualifications

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities.
  • Experience in a preschool or early childhood setting.
  • Understanding of child development and the GSRP framework.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Lead Teacher in planning and implementing daily lesson plans aligned with the GSRP curriculum frameworks.
  • Facilitate small groups and one-on-one instruction to reinforce skills and concepts.
  • Monitor student progress and provide feedback to the Lead Teacher regarding individual student needs.
  • Contribute to ongoing assessment of student development and learning through observation and documentation.
  • Assist in preparing reports and maintaining records for student assessments and curricula.
  • Support behavioral management strategies and assist in resolving conflicts among students.
  • Ensure a safe and clean classroom environment by organizing materials and resources.
  • Work closely with the Lead Teacher and other staff to promote team collaboration.
  • Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to contribute to the mission.
  • Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students
  • Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated GSRP Lead Teacher to join our team. The GSRP (Great Start Readiness Program) Associate Teacher will support the educational development and social emotional growth of preschool-aged children in a learning environment that promotes engagement, exploration, and discovery. The Associate Teacher will work collaboratively with the Lead Teacher to implement the curriculum, manage classroom activities, and assist in creating an inclusive and nurturing environment for all students.

  • Work closely with the Lead Teacher and other staff members to promote team cohesion and effective collaboration.

  • Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to contribute to the overall mission of the institution.

  • Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students

  • Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff

  • Regular and predictable attendance

Cognitive Demands:
  • Supervision of multiple students at once

  • Establishing routines and procedures

  • Maintaining a safe and orderly environment

  • Create and implement instructional plans

  • Participate in continuous professional development

  • Effective oral and written communication skills

Physical Demands:
  • Occasionally lift/move objects weighing up to 25lbs

  • Stand and walk frequently

  • Occasionally sit on the floor or bend down/squat

  • Withstand all demands presented by outside weather conditions at any time of the year

  • Withstand a moderate noise level

  • Be able to perform first aid/CPR if necessary

  • Assist/lift students, as necessary

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field; Bachelor's Degree preferred.

  • Understanding of child development principles, early childhood education practices, and the GSRP framework.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities

  • Experience in a preschool or early childhood setting

  • Strong understanding of child development and the principles of early childhood education
