Job summary

Paycom - ATS in Bryson City, NC is seeking a Hot Chocolate Worker to join the Food and Beverage team for the Polar Express season. You will prepare, mix, and deliver hot chocolate to the train before departure, working with a small crew to ensure quick service and sanitation compliance.

This hourly, non-exempt, seasonal role requires stamina, standing up to 12 hours, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Dress in a chef coat and hat for passenger-facing service; background checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Must communicate effectively in English (written and spoken).

• Must pass pre-employment background check and WorkSteps physical evaluation.
• Driver license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare hot chocolate service Cambro’s for distribution.
• Load cases of mugs and tumblers for distribution.
• Fill vending machines as requested.
• Mix hot chocolate powder following sanitation policies.
• Deliver finished Cambro’s and supplies to the appropriate train car.
• Complete daily cleaning and organization checklists and maintain health regulations.

Division/Department: Food and BeverageJob Title: Hot Chocolate WorkerReports To: Food and Beverage Manager and Hot Chocolate SupervisorType of position: Non-Exempt / HourlyEmployee Classification: Seasonal or Temporary (hired after November 3rd)Location: Bryson City, NCCompensation: $14-16 hourlyJob Summary: Work in a team to prepare, mix, and deliver hot chocolate to the Polar Express train before departure.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPrepare Cambro’s for hot chocolate service.Load cases of mugs and tumblers for distribution.Use dishwasher when needed.Fill vending machines as requested.Mix hot chocolate powder while following all sanitation policies.Deliver finished hot chocolate Cambro’s, cases of mugs, and tumblers to the appropriate train car for attendants to distribute.Adhere to and maintain company service standards, procedures, and policies.Complete daily cleaning and organization checklists.Maintain and exceed Health Department Regulations.Other duties as requested.Work Environment:Work in all weather during both daylight and dark hours.Works with emulsifier, utility knife, dishwasher, broom, and mop.Varied schedule throughout the polar season as dictated by train schedule and departmental need.Proper PPE available.Must dress in Chef Coat and Hat when passenger facing as part of the performance.Education, Skill and Work Experience Requirements:Ability to communicate effectively in both written and spoken English.Ability to be on your feet for up to 12 hours.Ability to lift 50 lbs. to waist or overhead.Good balance/equilibrium: walk on graveled, uneven and/or sloped surfaces that may be wet/slippery.Must possess organizational skills with ability to multi-task while prioritizing workload with practical, flexible and innovative approach to work.Ability to communicate successfully with a variety of personalities and function effectively as a member of a team.Must be able to pass pre-employment background check and WorkSteps physical evaluation.Valid Driver License, preferred.
