Job summary

Firefly Aerospace in Briggs, TX is seeking a GSE Technician to join the Test Operations Team. You will build, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade test stands and related instrumentation for rocket engines and stages, ensuring readiness for flight launches.

Responsibilities include site/test stand builds, verification, commissioning, documenting activity, and collaborating with engineers to streamline testing processes. You should be able to lift 30 pounds and work in a high-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency.
• 3+ years of experience with mechanical/high-pressure systems or heavy equipment.
• 3+ years using power tools and calibrated tooling.
• Ability to work in a team and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade test stand equipment and instrumentation.
• Participate in builds of new site/test stands or implementing new systems.
• Provide operability and constructability feedback to engineers.
• Collaborate with test engineers to develop procedures and document activity.
• Maintain tools, storage, and hardware to support test activities.
• Keep test stand locations clean and ready-for-flight hardware.
• Work with engineering teams to streamline testing processes.
• Operate test stands and associated hydraulic/pneumatic systems.
