Job summary

Firefly Aerospace is seeking a skilled GSE Technician to support test operations at Briggs, TX. You will build, maintain and troubleshoot test stands, assist with new site deployments, and collaborate with engineers to optimize testing of valves, engines and rocket stages.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in mechanical systems, high‑pressure fluids, and aerospace GSE, plus an A&P license and SAE training. Firefly offers strong benefits and a path for professional growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of experience with and troubleshooting mechanical systems, high pressure fluids/pneumatic systems, or heavy equipment.
• 3+ years of experience using power tools, hand tools, and calibrated tooling.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to rapidly adapt roles in a high-paced environment.
• Lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• A&P license and an engineering/technical associate degree.
• Experience with airframe repair and avionics.
• SAE certification or training.
• Experience with hydraulic plumbing repair/fabrication and ground support equipment in aerospace.
• Experience in space exploration, aviation, or military environments.
• Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and JIRA.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, troubleshoot, and upgrade test stand equipment and instrumentation.
• Assist in new site/test stand builds or implementing new systems.
• Provide feedback to GSE engineers during design phases.
• Collaborate with test engineers to develop procedures and document activities.
• Develop and maintain tools, storage, and hardware for testing.
• Keep test stands clean and ready-for-flight.
• Work with engineering teams to streamline and optimize testing processes.
• Operate and maintain high-pressure, cryogenic, hydraulic systems and related equipment.
