Job summary

Firefly Aerospace, a space and defense technology company, is seeking a Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Manufacturing Engineer at our Briggs, TX site. You'll coordinate procurement and fabrication of hardware supporting launch vehicles, spacecraft, and R&D, working with engineers, welders, and technicians to ensure on-time, cost-effective builds.

Responsibilities include improving work order flow, make/buy decisions, supplier relations, design reviews, and creating milestone schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years in a manufacturing environment with welded structures and piping.
• Experience with CAD and ERP systems; GD&T knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Improve work order process from drawing release to fabrication.
• Interact with technicians to resolve design vs as-built.
• Make/buy decisions to meet budget and schedule.
• Manage supplier and internal customer relations.
• Participate in design reviews for operability and manufacturability.
• Create milestone-based build schedules for stakeholders.
• Identify and disposition non-conformances.
• Assist design engineers with mBOMs, RFQs, and inventory.
