Job summary

Firefly Aerospace in Briggs, TX is seeking a Test Technician to join a hands-on team testing launch hardware and supporting launch-day operations. You will work with engineers to develop test procedures, assemble fixtures, and execute rigorous tests on flight and ground support hardware.

The role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, 3 years in aerospace/manufacturing, and the ability to lift 50 pounds.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalency.
At least 3 years in aerospace, manufacturing, military or automotive environments.
Strong attention to detail and safety mindset.
Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced, challenging setting.
Ability to lift 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
Travel up to 15% to support launch operations.
Associate degree in engineering/technical field; A&P license preferred.
Experience with airframe repair, avionics, and aerospace ground support.
Knowledge of SAE, hydraulic systems, and test processes.

Responsibilities

Execute and oversee rigorous testing of flight and ground support hardware (hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical).
Develop and document test procedures in collaboration with engineering.
Assist design, fabrication, and assembly of test fixtures and equipment.
Plan daily test activities with test engineers and manage technical risks.
Perform precision assembly of flight systems per CAD and work orders.
Drive safety and efficiency improvements through audits.
