Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services, Inc. in Washington, DC is seeking a GSE Mechanic Level II to repair and maintain a range of ground support equipment such as tugs, belt loaders, pushbacks and trucks.

You will perform advanced maintenance, diagnostics and repairs according to manufacturer guidelines and safety standards. The role requires 3 years of verified experience, own tools, a valid driver's license and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 3 years of verified experience required.
• Must provide own tools and toolbox.
• Must have a valid state-issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials (FAA, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs as applicable).
• Airlines are 24/7; flexibility to work nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Repair and maintain motorized and non-motorized Ground Service Equipment (GSE).
• Service equipment with fuel, water, oil, hydraulic fluid and compressed air.
• Log equipment numbers and describe work performed.
• Inspect and repair engines, transmissions and electrical systems.
• Maintain brakes and hydraulic/pneumatic systems on mobile lifts and conveyors.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues.
• Test equipment and performance of ground equipment.
• Complete paperwork and track parts.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
