Job summary

PrimeFlight Aviation Services is seeking a GSE Mechanic Level II to repair and maintain ground support equipment including tugs, belt loaders, and pushbacks. You will perform advanced maintenance, diagnose electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems, and ensure safety standards are met.

This is a full-time role with guaranteed hours. The position requires 3 years of verified experience, own tools, and flexibility to work a 6:00 AM–2:30 PM shift Tuesday through Saturday.

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment.
• 3 years of verified experience required.
• Must provide their own tools and toolbox.
• Demonstrate regular, predictable attendance at job location.
• Must hold a valid driver's license.
• Communicate effectively in English (reading, writing, speaking).
• Ability to access and interpret information in print and electronically, including the use of electronic devices (IPads/Tablets, Computers and Mobile Devices).
• Effectively communicate with colleagues and clients, both in-person and through electronic means.
• Pass a background check and drug screen.
• Eligibility to acquire needed credentials and clearances (FAA, RAIC, TSA, Port Authority, U.S. Customs, as applicable).
• Airlines are 24/7; flexible to work various shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Service equipment with fuel, water, oil, hydraulic fluid and compressed air.
• Log equipment numbers to be repaired with description of work to be done on each piece.
• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair or modify engines and transmissions.
• Inspect electrical systems, brakes and braking systems.
• Diagnose, repair mechanical, electrical and hydraulic issues per manuals and safety standards.
• Replace or repair components; test and adjust as needed.
• Diagnose problems using test equipment and applicable manuals.
• Operate and test ground equipment for performance assessment.
• Complete associated paperwork and track parts.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and PrimeFlight standards; perform additional duties as assigned.
