Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services is seeking a GSE Mechanic in the United States, Missouri region. The role covers troubleshooting, repair, maintenance and overhaul of ground support equipment at airport facilities, with responsibilities including parts handling, tool operation and adherence to safety rules.

The position requires HS diploma or equivalent, valid driver's license and ability to work a variety of shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have HS Diploma, GED or equivalent.
• 18+ years of age.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to read and work from diagrams.
• Ability to read, write, speak English fluently.
• Must pass a 10-year background check for Airport Badge.
• Ability to read color-coded wires (red, green, yellow, etc.).
• Familiarity with PC software is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Conduct regular inspections, preventative maintenance, and repairs on ground support equipment.
• Use fleet management software to record work orders, parts, and hours.
• Maintain a clean, organized workshop.
• Stay updated on industry trends, tech advancements, and regulatory requirements.
• Follow safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
• Communicate with team members and vendors to coordinate repairs and parts.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals.
• Operate tools to assemble, disassemble, and install parts.
• Regulate own work with minimal supervision.
• Drive ground support equipment including up to 10–40 ton vehicles.
