Job summary

SA-TECH is seeking a Ground Support Equipment Mechanic at Fort Irwin, CA. This DoD contractor role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining GSE, including electrical and electronic systems, and training junior staff.

The GSEM will service fuel and grounding systems, perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, and ensure safety and compliance across the range environment. Qualified candidates will have a high school diploma, 3+ years of relevant maintenance experience, a valid driver's

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum three years experience repairing and maintaining GSE, ground vehicles or related equipment.
• Military maintenance background and a valid U.S. driver's license are preferred.
• Ability to lift 50-100 pounds and operate PPE as needed.

Responsibilities

• Disassembles and assembles malfunctioning GSE accessories and components.
• Removes, disassembles, repairs, cleans, and reinstalls GSE components.
• Maintains external fuel and grounding systems and performs routine maintenance.
• Diagnoses mechanical and electronic malfunctions using test equipment and publications.
• Provides dispatch support and maintains equipment records and logs.
