Job summary

Systems Application & Technologies Inc (SA-TECH) is hiring a Ground Support Equipment Mechanic at the Army’s National Training Center in Fort Irwin, CA. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain GSE, reading schematics and using test equipment to ensure readiness for training missions.

The role requires a high school diploma and at least three years of related experience, plus a valid driver's license and the ability to obtain DoD clearance. Medical and retirement benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum three years’ experience repairing and maintaining ground support/vehicle equipment.
• Military maintenance experience is preferred.
• Current Driver’s License; ability to be insured for company vehicles.
• Forklift Operator license required; Class A license preferred.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain DoD security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, repairs and maintains ground support equipment (GSE).
• Diagnoses system components including electrical and electronic circuitry.
• Uses maintenance data systems to monitor trends and document actions.
• Serves as a trainer for lower-grade personnel.
• Operates, inspects and services GSE towing vehicles.
• Performs scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and prepares GSE for storage and deployment.
