Systems Application & Technologies, Inc. (SA-TECH) is hiring a Ground Support Equipment Mechanic at Fort Irwin, CA.

The role involves diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of ground support equipment across outdoor work environments, with emphasis on electronics, fuels, and safety checks. Candidates should have a high school diploma, 3+ years of relevant maintenance experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum three years’ experience repairing and maintaining ground support equipment (GSE).
• Military maintenance background preferred.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain DoD Secret Clearance.
• Valid driver’s license; forklift license; Class A license preferred.
• Background screening will be conducted.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses, repairs and maintains ground support equipment (GSE).
• Advises and trains lower grade workers on diagnosis and repairs of less complex repair/maintenance problems.
• Diagnoses system components including electrical and electronics to repair or replace faulty parts.
• Uses automated maintenance data systems to monitor maintenance trends and maintain equipment records.
• Operates GSE towing vehicles and provides service support for aircraft maintenance operations.
• Disassembles/assembles GSE components and maintains documentation of maintenance actions.
• Performs storage preparation and proper handling of equipment per regulations.
