Job summary

Alvest Equipment Services (AES) in Baltimore, MD is seeking a GSE Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain ground support equipment such as tow tractors, belt loaders, and deicers. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems and document repairs with MIS.

The ideal candidate has 1-4 years in mechanical or heavy equipment repair, must provide own hand tools, and be able to lift 50+ lbs in all weather. AES offers comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1-4 years’ experience in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, or HVAC systems.
• Diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment repair background.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and computer proficiency.
• Must provide own hand tools.
• Must be 18+, eligible to work in the U.S., and possess a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and HVAC systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Use Maintenance Information Systems (MIS) to document all repairs.
• Follow safety and regulatory standards (OSHA, EPA).
• Participate in continuous improvement and training opportunities.
