Job summary

Advanced Air, LLC in Hawthorne, CA is seeking a GSE Maintenance Technician to inspect, repair, and maintain ground support equipment and company vehicles. You will coordinate preventive maintenance, manage vendor relationships, and ensure regulatory and safety compliance across stations.

You will diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues, and keep accurate maintenance records using CMMS or similar systems. A hands-on, organized self-starter mindset is essential for success.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing fleet, GSE, or vehicle/heavy equipment.
• Strong knowledge of diesel, gasoline, electric, and hydraulic systems used in ground support equipment and vehicles.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to track costs, coordinate vendors, and juggle multiple priorities.
• Experience with Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Hands-On Maintenance and Repair: Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, inspections, and repairs on all GSE and vehicles; diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
• Maintenance Program Management: Develop, implement, and carry out preventive maintenance schedules for all GSE and vehicles.
• Ramp Response and Downtime Management: Respond to equipment breakdowns on the ramp and provide timely repairs; coordinate and prioritize additional repair work.
• Asset Tracking: Maintain an accurate inventory and maintenance history for all GSE and vehicles, including service records and compliance documentation.
• Training and Documentation: Ensure every piece of equipment has a training program or user guide.
• Compliance and Safety: Ensure all equipment meets FAA, OSHA, and company safety standards.
• Vendor and Contractor Coordination: Serve as the primary contact with outside repair shops and parts vendors.
• Reporting: Provide regular fleet status and maintenance cost reports to leadership.
• Other duties as assigned
