Qualifications

• 5–10 years of professional experience in automotive, heavy equipment, or similar mechanical maintenance and repair.
• 1–2 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a maintenance environment.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication, organization, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coach, motivate, and support a team while balancing competing priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel and Outlook.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced, hands‑on maintenance environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead, support, and motivate a team of 4–8 maintenance employees, promoting teamwork, accountability, and a positive work environment.
• Provide day‑to‑day guidance, coaching, and constructive feedback to help team members grow and succeed.
• Assist with onboarding and training new employees while supporting the continued development of existing team members.
• Help establish clear performance expectations and identify opportunities for employee development.
• Coordinate daily workflow and assign tasks to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely, efficiently, and on schedule.
• Provide technical guidance to technicians diagnosing equipment issues, performing repairs, and replacing components.
• Monitor work quality and ensure compliance with company policies, maintenance procedures, and safety standards.
• Identify operational challenges, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions that improve productivity and equipment reliability.
• Help ensure maintenance tools, parts, and resources are available to support daily operations.
• Serve as a communication link between maintenance employees and management, sharing priorities, expectations, and operational updates.
• Prepare daily reports on team activities, maintenance progress, performance, and opportunities for improvement.
• Coordinate with other departments to prioritize repairs, communicate equipment status, and minimize operational disruptions.
• Promote a culture of continuous improvement, professional development, and accountability.
