Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Ground Support Equipment Worker in the United States to repair, inspect, and service GSE per supervisor instructions. You will troubleshoot faults with meters and hand tools, document actions, and ensure readiness of equipment for operations, storage, or transport.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizenship required for facility credentials/authorization.
• Must be able to speak, read and understand English.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience working on Automotive/Mobile Equipment.
• Must be able to meet physical requirements incl. lifting up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Perform repairs and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance on Ground Support Equipment (GSE) following orders and guidance from higher-grade workers.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions using conventional and digital meters and hand tools.
• Inspect, test, and operate GSE to determine serviceability and proper operation.
• Document maintenance actions and update equipment records (paper and electronic).
• Service GSE with fuel, oil, water, coolant, hydraulic fluid, and compressed air; disassemble/reassemble components as needed.
• Stencil, label, and mark GSE per technical publications; handle hazardous materials per regulations.
• Maintain housekeeping, tool control, and safety practices; transport and store GSE, including towing vehicles.
