The Appalachian Mountain Club (AMC) is seeking a detail-oriented Operations Coordinator to support the Growth Team's financial and operational systems. You will work with departments across AMC to ensure behind-the-scenes processes are efficient, consistent, and scalable.

Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of applicable experience.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to track deadlines and deliverables.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills across departments.
  • Comfortable learning and using technology platforms like Airtable and PM tools.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate budget and forecast cycles for the Growth Team.
  • Conduct monthly financial reporting and KPI analysis.
  • Coordinate weekly KPI results and market insights.
  • Support expense coding and recordkeeping for the Growth Team and CGO.
  • Collect KPI results on campaigns and capture learnings for future campaigns.
  • Maintain a shared view of upcoming projects and deadlines across teams.
  • Capture, scope, and prioritize Growth Team requests; assign work.
  • Assist in optimizing Airtable workflows and structures.
  • Manage updates to internal processes for project management and deliverables.
  • Schedule monthly Growth Team meetings and bi-annual in-person events.

We are committed to ensuring that the outdoors is accessible to all, advancing conservation initiatives, and building a welcoming outdoor community.AMC is looking for a detail-oriented, highly organized Operations Coordinator to help keep the Growth Team’s financial and operational systems running smoothly. In this role you’ll work with departments across AMC to ensure the behind-the-scenes processes that power our work are efficient and consistent. The ideal candidate values creating order from complexity, is comfortable with ambiguity, embraces the concept of constant improvement, and enjoys collaborating with cross-departmental teams.What you’ll be doing at AMCFinancial & Metrics CoordinationCoordinate budget and forecast cycles for the Growth Team, following AMC’s annual timeline.Conduct, monthly financial reporting and analysis to ensure the Growth Team is on track to financial plans.Coordinate weekly metrics updates including KPI results and market insights.Support financial reporting, expense coding and recordkeeping for the Growth team and CGO.Collect and coordinate KPI results on key campaigns, including mid-campaign updates and post-mortem reviews. The initial salary represents our starting point, and our compensation philosophy is designed to reward and recognize the contributions of our employees as they grow within the organization. External candidates typically begin their journey with us at the starting point of the salary range.
