Job summary

Interstate Batteries is seeking a Manager, Strategy to guide the Commercial organization with strategic vision and analytical direction. You will lead a team conducting analyses, synthesize insights, and provide practical recommendations to inform decision-making across the enterprise.

The role emphasizes developing and delivering business cases, collaborating with Product, Sales, and Category Management, and driving growth initiatives across channels and routes to market.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited US or international university in Marketing, Economics, Accounting, Business, Finance, or other highly analytical discipline (e.g., engineering).
• MBA preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in management consulting, investment banking, and/or corporate strategy.
• 2 years’ experience applying technical skills in strategy and/or business development, with focus on financial modeling and analysis.
• People leadership experience preferred with a track record of developing and motivating teams.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, project leadership, collaboration, and influencing skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead long-term strategic planning for Interstate’s product portfolio offering.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to drive go-to-market strategy and prioritize projects.
• Provide channel/customer segmentation and analysis to Commercial Leadership.
• Coach, mentor, and develop staff including onboarding and career development.
• Develop and deliver compelling business cases and storylines to inform decisions.
• Manage large-scale, cross-functional projects requiring strategic leadership and cross-functional collaboration.
