Job summary

Blackbird Labs is building a small, high‑leverage Strategy & Growth team. The Lead Analyst is the analytical core, defining growth metrics, building marketplace models, and setting the bar for measurement and experimentation. You will report to the Head of Strategy & Growth and collaborate with a Strategy & Operations Manager.

The role is hands‑on with ownership of analyses, dashboards, and recommendations that guide where and how the company grows, reporting to senior leadership and the board.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in analytics, data science, growth analytics, or a quantitative strategy role.
• Expert SQL and a strong toolkit in Python or R for modeling, segmentation, and experimentation.
• Track record turning messy data into decisions that move core metrics.
• Deep experience with experimentation and causal measurement methods.
• Fluency in marketplace, growth, and unit-economics concepts.

Responsibilities

• Own growth measurement framework: define metrics, guardrails, targets, and monitor performance.
• Build and maintain analytical layers behind cockpit, scorecards, and growth ROI reporting.
• Turn strategic questions into clear analysis and recommendations.
• Build models for marketplace scoring, targeting, segmentation, and lifecycle value.
• Identify value drivers and guide investments to maximize long-term value.
• Stand up an experimentation framework with rigorous, causal measurement.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Restaurants to instrument initiatives and read results.
• Create lightweight tooling to speed up analysis and reporting.
