Job summary

Expeditors seeks a Warehouse Associate at the DTW/Detroit metro area to support timely movement of goods. You will unload/load trucks, weigh/dimension freight, and ensure accurate data entry and labeling while maintaining safety and organized staging across the warehouse.

The role requires standing/walking, lifting up to 40 lbs, and a high school diploma, with forklift certification preferred and security awareness. Training is provided in a dynamic, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to read, count, do basic math and write legibly.
• Forklift certification and ability to obtain/maintain certification.
• Ability to stand/walk for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Unload and load trucks promptly and accurately.
• Weigh and dimension freight accurately.
• Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts.
• Document shortages, damages, or discrepancies properly.
• Enter data into the operational system accurately.
• Verify labeling, quantities, and country codes against orders.
• Ensure proper put-away, picking, and staging of freight.
• Maintain clean and safe warehouse conditions including Temperature Controlled areas.
