Job summary

Expeditors is seeking a Warehouse Associate to support timely movement of goods at our Detroit metro location. You will unload and load trucks, weigh and dimension freight, and operate forklifts while entering data into our system and maintaining accurate labeling.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, be able to stand for long periods, and hold a forklift certification. Attention to safety, reliability, and teamwork is essential in this role.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Read, count accurately, do simple math, and write legibly.
• Able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Forklift certification and the ability to safely operate a forklift.
• Capable of meeting deadlines with safety and accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Unload/load trucks in a timely and accurate manner.
• Weigh and dimension freight accurately.
• Operate stand-up and sit-down forklifts.
• Ensure accurate data entry into the operational system.
• Label freight correctly and verify shipments against orders.
• Maintain a clean, safe warehouse environment and follow safety policies.
