Job summary

Rottinghaus Company Inc., Subway is seeking an Assistant Store Leader to drive daily operations, develop staff, and uphold Subway standards. You’ll open and close the store, monitor productivity, and ensure guest satisfaction while maintaining food safety and cleanliness.

This role offers paid training, competitive pay starting at 15.25/hour, and full-time benefits. You will mentor team members, handle inventory, scheduling, and cash reconciliation, while fostering a positive, inclusive store

Responsibilities

• Lead by example as a Sandwich Artist and oversee daily operations.
• Monitor productivity and adjust employee hours as needed.
• Handle inventory, coupon log tracking, spot checks, and end-of-shift reconciliation.
• Order food as needed and manage stock rotation in coolers and dry goods.
• Open and close the store and support catering orders when required.
• Assist with shift coverage and foster a positive team culture.
• Ensure food safety and cleanliness per Subway and health dept. standards.
• Train new team members and guide them in task execution.

WhatYou’ll Do:

As an Assistant Store Leader, you’llbe a key player in daily operations and team development. Your responsibilitiesinclude:

• Leadingby example as a Sandwich Artist.
• Monitoringproductivity and adjusting employee hours as needed.
• Handlinginventory, couponlog tracking, spot checks, and post close reconciliation during shifts worked as needed.
• Ordering food asneeded.
• Tracking foodrotation in cooler, freezer and dry goods.
• Being able tosuccessfully open and close the store.
• Being able to successfullycomplete a catering order.
• Beingable to bake bread according to Subway® standards.
• Supporting the Store Manager with shift coverage and team culture.
• Ensuring food safety and cleanliness standards as set by Subway and the Health Department.
• Attendingnew promotional Window calls as requested.
• Performingcash-handling and reconciliation tasks.
• Trainingnew team members and tracking their progress.
• Assisting employees with problems concerning "how to" perform specific tasksrelated to their position.
• Develop positive working relationship with employees they aretraining to help adapt them to the store’s culture.

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Flexible availability for all shifts

• Must pass a background check
