Job summary

Rottinghaus Company Inc, a Subway franchise, is seeking an Assistant Store Leader to drive daily operations and develop the team. You’ll lead by example, manage scheduling, and ensure food safety and customer service standards are upheld.

You’ll receive paid training, opportunities for promotion, and benefits for full-time staff. The role requires 18+ and flexible shifts; strong leadership and communication are essential to thrive in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Flexible availability for all shifts.
• Excellent customer service and basic math skills.
• Must pass a background check.
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example as a Sandwich Artist.
• Monitor productivity and adjust employee hours as needed.
• Handle inventory, coupon log tracking, spot checks, and post close reconciliation during shifts worked as needed.
• Order food as needed.
• Track food rotation in cooler, freezer and dry goods.
• Open and close the store.
• Complete catering orders.
• Bake bread according to Subway standards.
• Support the Store Manager with shift coverage and team culture.
• Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards as set by Subway and Health Department.
• Attend new promotional Window calls as requested.
• Perform cash-handling and reconciliation tasks.
• Train new team members and track their progress.
• Develop positive working relationship with employees they are training to help adapt them to the store’s culture.

What You’ll Do:

As an Assistant Store Leader, you’ll be a key player in daily operations and team development. Your responsibilities include:

• Leading by example as a Sandwich Artist.
