Rottinghaus Company Inc., a Subway franchisee, is expanding and seeks Assistant Store Leaders to join our team in Wichita. You will lead by example, oversee shifts, manage inventories, and ensure food safety and customer service excellence.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example as a Sandwich Artist.
• Monitor productivity and adjust employee hours as needed.
• Handle inventory, coupon log tracking, spot checks, and post close reconciliation during shifts worked as needed.
• Ordering food as needed.
• Tracking food rotation in cooler, freezer and dry goods.
• Open and close the store successfully.
• Complete catering orders as required.
• Bake bread according to Subway standards.
• Support the Store Manager with shift coverage and team culture.
• Ensure food safety and cleanliness standards per Subway and Health Department.

What You’ll Do:

• Leading by example as a Sandwich Artist.
• Monitoring productivity and adjusting employee hours as needed.
• Handling inventory, coupon log tracking, spot checks, and post close reconciliation during shifts worked as needed.
• Ordering food as needed.
• Tracking food rotation in cooler, freezer and dry goods.
• Being able to successfully open and close the store.
• Being able to successfully complete a catering order.
• Being able to bake bread according to Subway® standards.
• Supporting the Store Manager with shift coverage and team culture.
• Ensuring food safety and cleanliness standards as set by Subway and the Health Department.
• Attending new promotional Window calls as requested.
• Performing cash-handling and reconciliation tasks.
• Training new team members and tracking their progress.
• Assisting employees with problems concerning "how to" perform specific tasks related to their position.
• Develop positive working relationship with employees they are training to help adapt them to the store’s culture.

What You Will Bring:

Requirements:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Flexible availability for all shifts
• Excellent customer service and basic math skills
• Must pass a background check
• Valid driver’s license and auto insurance
