Job summary

PrimeLending, a PlainsCapital Company, is seeking a Team Loan Originator in Utah to promote mortgage products and support Realtors, builders, and clients from application to closing. You will liaise between originators, clients, and branch staff, ensuring smooth operations and compliant processes.

The role emphasizes teamwork, loan docs collection, and timely communication. A high school diploma, state licenses, and 1–2 years in sales or mortgage banking are preferred; valid driver's license

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of sales or mortgage banking experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and automobile liability insurance.
• Interacts with regional & corporate departments, realtors, builders, appraisers, etc.
• Demonstrated judgment; strong presentation and communication skills.
• Ability to quickly assess and process large amounts of information; use designated technology.

Responsibilities

• Promotes PrimeLending products to team clients (realtors, builders, officers).
• Handles loan volume as directed, learning company products and mortgage guidelines.
• Monitors customer interaction from application to closing; counsels and pre-qualifies buyers.
• Collects and analyzes customer income/assets/debts; schedules appointments.
• Interacts with all parties to loans and obtains necessary documents.
• Negotiates loan terms and communicates loan status to stakeholders.
